Thank you Dorothy and everyone!

Thank you to everyone who came, volunteered and took part in Watford Celebration!! We had another wonderful Celebration of Watford this year. So many talented people in Watford! This year was a special turning point for our town as our Patron Baroness Dorothy Thornhill stood down as our Elected Mayor after 16 years. We will miss Dorothy but she reassured us that she will not be far away and she still wishes to remain our patron. We all wish her well and a well deserved break.

The High Sheriff of Hertfordshire Mrs Suzy Harvey enjoyed her visit to Watford and stayed with us the whole afternoon. She also mentioned us on the High Sheriff website.

Our banners are up!!

The Firemen have always been of great help hanging our banners but this year they could not do it due to a change in their policy. We were all wondering how we would hang those banners climbing high up on ladders??? Harjit Singh and Manjinder Singh from the Watford Sikh Community came to our rescue and hung our 3 banners! Thank you so much to both of you!! They are now hanging on the Multi Cultural Community Centre and St Michael and All Angels' Church for everyone to see and announce our special Celebration.

Special Presentation to Dorothy

The Watford Celebration Team decided to organise a special presentation for our Watford Elected Mayor Baronees Dorothy Thornhill MBE known to us all as 'Dorothy' for championing communities relations around our town and for her support over the years as the Patron of Watford Celebration.

Watford Celebration 2018!

We had our Watford Celebration AGM on 21st November and it was decided that we will go ahead with Watford Celebration 2018!! Everybody is telling us that we cannot stop! Our finances are going down and we need more dedicated members on our committee but where there is a will there is a way. We decided this time to have the Celebration on the first Bank Holiday Monday 7th May. We welcome your help and support in whatever ways you can.
