Sacred Space, Model railway and stalls:

In St Michael and All Angels' Church.

Sacred Space:

The Sacred Space is a quiet room in the vestry of St Michael and All Angels' Church where people of different faiths and none come together to discuss a topic of interest or demonstrate an aspect of their faith. It is facilitated by the Watford Interfaith Association.

The DISCUSSION SESSION is from 1.30 to 3pm.

Yogesh Joshi and Mohamed Rafiuddin will facilitate the discussion on the topic:

'How can Faiths heal the Circle of Hatred?'

Representatives of different faiths and none are invited to give their views in a 3 minute talk each and then the discussion will be open to the public.

The DEMONSTRATION SESSION from 3pm.

Facilitated by Marijah Butcher. There will be story telling, meditation and a gospel choir.

Model Railway:

This year the South West Herts Model Railway Society will be exhibiting its entertaining exhibition layout Dudley Frey, one of five layouts owned by the society.

Dudley Frey is an N gauge layout, with a track gauge of 9mm and a scale of 1:150. The layout has a four track main line hosting a sequence of up to 18 trains. The era covered varies through the day so initially steam trains of the 1950s and 60s can be seen and later, more modern diesel and electric trains appear. There is plenty of activity with a number of cameo scenes including a vintage lorry rally, archaeological dig and children’s dinosaur park, which the operators will be only too happy to explain to you. The layout also has working signals, street lighting and belisha beacons. The layout has sounds too – a concert in the church and birds singing in the countryside.

The South West Herts Model Railway Society is based at the Lincolnsfield Centre, Bushey and meets on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Please see our website for more details: www.southwesthertsmrs.org.uk.

If you have enjoyed watching a model railway in action do come to our Model Railway Exhibition Saturday 12th May at Queens' School, Bushey. We have 23 layouts from Z gauge (6.5mm), scale 1.5mm/ft to O gauge (32mm), scale7mm/ft. There is also trade support, refreshments, plenty of free parking and the event is easily accessible for the disabled.

Stalls:

There will be a variety of stalls in the church, among them:

Want to try a spot of drama? Then why not join Herts Inclusive Theatre for some fully inclusive movement, character creation and fun!” at 2pm in the church. They will also have a craft table for children.
